August, 2025

First of all, I am truly praising our Almighty God, for a safe and relatively uneventful trip back to the ‘other’ land that I love!  Robert picked me up in Bucharest this time and we yakked, yakked, yakked, all the way back up to Brasov – even stopped for a hot dog (kind of) on the way home!  He’s a real foodie!  :)

My first week back was challenging.  It is a time that I do almost nothing – and have to endure that time before I can drive to get through jet-lag.  However, the ‘evil one’s’ knowing my ‘Achille’s heel’, took advantage of that, and I experienced some real depression.  I thank God, as I am writing this, that He ‘rescued’ me – that He was faithfully my Psalm 18.2!

So it has been ‘boots on the ground’ once again – never stopping!  LFA has been able to minister in several ways to our precious ‘littles’ at Ana si (and) Eva (who were formally at Albina orphanage).  We have gotten 22 window screens and 4 screen doors to help keep the flies out.  It has not been a good situation.  We’ve paid for meds for our Gabriela, urostomy pouches and catheters for both Gabriela and Luca – and water-proof sheets and covers for the six new sofas in both case.  LFA continues to buy their monthly meds, cleaning products, etc.

Of course, it was pure JOY to be with our ‘kids’ at Barza Mica once again.  Oh, my!  They had so much to tell me!  – and there were lots of hugs and kisses to go around!  We have loved our Bible stories (with Cristiana reading the Scripture version of the story I tell them).  And, we’ve loved our snacks, art projects, games and more, more, more.  We were blessed one day to have Robert come and tell the Bible story – and just plain have fun with them!  I have to tell you that I am also enjoying the cooks’ yummie Romanian cooking in the kitchen after we finish our programs with the ‘kids’.

As usual, we continue to meet the expenses of monthly meds for our ‘kids’.  I recently showed them the pics of LFA’s 22nd celebration.  And when I told them that those were pics of some of the people who so love them and love helping to take care of them, they were blown away.  Their eyes got big – and they sighed ‘in’ such breaths of delight and pleasure.  THANK you, dear ones for loving and caring for those whom you have never even seen – for those whose lives would be beyond unbearable (as they once were) without your help!!

LFA (that’s you!) has also had the privilege to help out with ‘VBS’ at Canaan (our church) and another start-up church Ovi is overseeing.

We pray that we will have the funds to help our Brothers and Sisters in Christ in Ukraine later this month.  PLEASE pray this with me – “Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”  – Ephesians 3.20

Again, THANK you!  I love serving our Lord with you to the ‘least of these’ – for the Kingdom!
