March, 2022

February was filled with days of blessings with our precious babies at Albina – and our ‘kids’ at Barza Mica.  It has been JOY to hold and love, sing to and feed these little ones.  We have a couple of new babies.  I only know Maria’s name so far.  She is a joy – always happy.  And we have been blessed to have a good working relationship with the orphanage workers.

At Barza, we have been frantically doing some artwork to be presented at the anniversary celebration of Love From Above on May 28, 2022.  They can hardly believe that people in America (!) will see their work!  We have a new girl who probably won’t be around long, but Raluca is a sweetheart.  She is pretty bright – speaks well, and even some English.  She ended up in an orphanage because her mother died and there was no one to take care of her.

The weather has been cold and ‘raw’ – rarely ever a sunny day.  It typifies the mentality of Romania.  But no matter what, I feel so blessed to have been called to the work I am doing – to be Jesus’ eyes and heart, hands and feet to the broken, helpless ones.

Just a personal note —  my brother passed away on February 21.  This has been hard and especially when it happened right on the heels of my sister’s Homegoing.  I really haven’t had time to mourn her and process her ‘going’ – and now my older brother . . .   I would appreciate prayer.

Not wanting to end on a completely difficult note, with the dismay of the war in Ukraine, Love From Above is so privileged to help – in a small way – but nonetheless be of help to the refugees in Ukraine.  Our pastor is driving this month to the border with vans and car loads of food and supplies to be of help.  He is also responsible for getting many across the border into Romania.  Not a small undertaking.  PLEASE pray for these precious souls that the Lord will replace the fear in their hearts with the peace that only He can give.

John 14.27  – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubles, neither let them be afraid.”
