January, 2016
Just a few updates and how the Lord blessed during the month of December. First of all, I mentioned last month that if all went well, the doors and windows would be installed in Canaan, our church for the Gypsies. It is with great joy that I can tell you that they have all been installed successfully, and without any problems. If you want to see pictures of them, go to ‘Projects’ and then click on Halchiu. I am more excited than you can imagine! We have so much for which to give our God glory. HE is the Master Builder of this precious little church.
On Friday, December 18 at 7:30 in the morning, I Skyped with Ioana who was at the Christmas celebration at Barza Mica. I was overjoyed to be able to see my ‘kids’ put on their Craciun Fericit (Merry Christmas) program. I cried nearly the whole way through it. At the end, the kids all came running up to Ioana’s laptop to wave to me, make heart signs with their hands, tell me that they love me, and Maria, remembering how I had taught her in English said, “I loooooove you”! J We all cried. Being able to see them was the best Christmas present ever!
There is no new news to report concerning little Karol. When he turns three in February, he will be placed into another orphanage 10 times worse than where he is now. PLEASE pray that he can at least get the heart operation he needs before being moved.
Also, please pray over little Raoul, Ovi and Carmen’s youngest child. He was born blind in one eye, or, nearly blind – the doctors don’t know. They will seek more help for little Raoul January 5.
I was blessed to have two speaking engagements during December. The first was a Christmas Luncheon at the Mayflower Women’s Club. They are the ladies who have faithfully, for years made the warm, pull-up pants (and so much more) for both orphanages. The second engagement was for the really energetic Faith Alliance Jr. High Youth Group. I absolutely loved being with both of these groups!
Thank you for praying for the ministry, for your faithful support, and for being such an encouragement to me, personally!
