December, 2015
The past month has been busy and productive for LFA. We shipped nearly 400 pounds of warm winter clothing and shoes to Barza Mica (orphanage), and the two villages, Halchiu and Bahnea.
We were able to send money to help a young mother who has just contracted Hepatitis B get the meds she needs. It will not only cover her, but also her unborn baby, and provide the vaccine for her husband who is Ovi’s right-hand man at Canaan, and their little 5 year-old boy. Please pray over these precious folks.
Also, wheels are being set in motion for little 4 year-old Karol from Albina (orphanage) to get a critically needed heart operation. Approval has to be received by the director of Albina – also, doctors’ approval for Karol to be kept at a hospital in Brasov to keep him free of the germs at Albina – and then a team of doctors needs to be found who will be willing to do the operation. I am so grateful to Ioana (my translator) for facilitating this. Please jot Karol’s name down to remember to pray over him. His round little face has a smile that would just steal your heart!
If all goes well, the doors and windows will be set in place on our church, Canaan in Halchiu this month. I can hardly wait for our precious Gypsy sisters and brothers in Christ to have their own ‘house of worship’! Please continue to pray over all aspects of the ministry.
