February, 2016
Lord willing, I will be headed back to ‘the other land that I love’ February 9 – returning to the States March 24. I have much ahead of me to get accomplished while there, and am eager to see what-all the needs are for Love From Above to provide for Albina and Barza Mica Orphanages this time around.
I have no news on little Karol who needs the heart operation except that he was removed from Albina on the morning of January 25 and transported to Targu Mures, a city about six hours north of Brasov. Please pray over this little 3 year old. What a frightening experience it must be for him.
I am blessed to have two of my volunteers fill in translating for, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with me during February and March. Paula Azoica will be at Albina two days a week with me, and Bogdan Doroftei at Barza Mica three days a week. I am blessed!
I am very excited to get back and see the progress on Canaan, our church for the Gypsies in Halchiu. I can hardly wait to see the doors and windows installed, and the work the men from the church have been able to accomplish on the interior!
Big news! Ioana, my ‘right hand’, the ‘wind beneath my wings’, my source of all information and my partner in ministry in Romania for the past five years is engaged, and will be married in September. I am excited and delighted for Ioana! Her fiancé Radu is a sterling fellow. However, I am sure you can imagine what it is going to be like to lose her!! Would you please pray with me that the Lord will bring someone else to work along-side me who can fill her huge shoes, have a heart for the ministry and who will love our precious helpless, voiceless ones just as much as I do, and as much as Ioana has.
Next update will be from Romania!
