November, 2022
October was a busy month! Thanks to you (and most of all to our Almighty God), we are using the ‘outdoor’ kitchen at Barza Mica. It needs some finishing touches, but is totally operational. This kitchen makes it safer for our precious ‘kids’. BTW, the food is amazing – the cooks are just the best, and they often send me home with food!
We have continued to buy all the meds for Barza and for Albina (the baby orphanage) and have bought hundreds of dollars’ worth of food for Barza. We have also, bought new sheets and wall art for Albina.
Most importantly, we have had the JOY of loving on our babies and ‘kids’. Some of our ‘babies’ are not doing well, and they may not make it much longer. At Barza, we have had so much fun doing Fall art projects, playing games, enjoying our Bible stories, and having really yummy snacks.
We are progressing on the renovation of Casa Noua. The new roof is completed, and next we start on dividing the casa into rooms. Sixteen, or so, of our ‘kids’ will move there permanently – and we will be blessed to have a beautiful ‘activities room’ – much larger than the one we have used in the old building for the past several years. I’m excited!
Church has been delightful with wonderful preaching from Ovi. Canaan was nearly filled every Sunday during October. We had one baptism, and four baby dedications.
We continue to support helpless ones in Ukraine having made another trip deep into the country the end of October with $5000-worth of goods, food, and supplies. For all of you who support this endeavor, we have the sacred privilege of being our Jesus’ eyes and heart, hands and feet. We are ‘considering the helpless . . .’ Love From Above’s theme verse from Psalm 41.1a.
