May, 2025
Oooooo – May, my favorite month of the year whether in Romania, Massachusetts, or Maine where I grew up. Everywhere there are signs of life – of a renewal of all that we love in nature. Thank You, Lord for Spring!!
I loved being at Canaan, my church in Halchiu, Romania for this year’s Resurrection Day service. The children put on a most wonderful program, and Ovi had a powerful sermon. JOY was in the air!
There was also great JOY in finally getting my permission papers from the government in order to freely be able to go into orphanages to be with our ‘littles’, and ‘kids’. Praise God! It took between 7 and 8 of my twelve weeks here this time, but it is done. First, a petition from the government director was pursued in order to be with our precious orphans, and then a police report had to be obtained, a physician’s report, and a psychiatrist’s report! There was a lot of ‘wait time’ in between all these demands, but our omnipotent God, our God Who is over all governments, and is our Jehovah-Jirah reigned!! Thank you – all of you who were praying over this matter!
In April, it finally stopped snowing!! 😊
Ovi and Carmen’s daughter had her baby, Liam Teodor! Congratulations to them!! Lorena, Teo, and Baby Liam are all doing well, praise God!
Our JOY, as always has been to spend precious time with our ‘kids’ at Barza Mica – to keep them in food, share God’s Word with them, do crafts and play all kinds of games with them, make them all kinds of goodies for snacks – and most importantly of all, love on them. When I leave Romania on May 3, ‘love’ will walk out the door for our precious orphans. Please pray for the Lord to be so close to them – to send ministering angels to them.
We only got to see our ‘littles’ a few times – and I am very grateful that they are in the two new little case (Ana and Eva), but the treatment of them remains the same . . . !
I also got to visit a place I have been a few times over the past years in Bradet. More than likely, our ‘kids’ from Barza will be transferred there in the next couple of years. I also visited Casa de Jos to see a girl I had known for years at Barza. After getting my ‘papers’, I have been one busy lady! Just the way I like it!!
I would ask for prayer over my trip back to MA on May 3 – for safety – and for connections to go smoothly in Bucharest and Munich – and for the physical strength the trip demands.
Lord willing, ‘we’ plan another ‘run’ to Ukraine to support our precious friends there the second week of May. If you would like to help with this trip, you can give by check to Love From Above at 19 Berry Street, Norton, MA 02766. Once again, we will deliver ‘tons’ of food, blankets, pillows, plastic (to cover bombed out windows) water, OTC meds, Pampers, car parts, clothing, shoes and boots, and more, more, more. There is also a need with help for our guys with gas to get there and back, and fees . . .
