May, 2019

I am so very grateful to the Lord to have had another uneventful trip back to the States on April 3 from my beloved Romania.  As a matter of fact, the plane from the Netherlands to Boston was nearly empty.  The few of us could spread out wherever we wanted to.  I could get spoiled if that happened too often!

It was beyond difficult to leave our precious orphans!  The morning I had to leave my flat in Brasov, I paced and paced around my flat crying out to God, “Who is going to love them (our babies and ‘kids’) – WHO is going to love them?”  Please pray for their safety – to be protected from the cruel hands of the workers.

I would ask for much prayer over Ovi (Pastor Ovidiu Starlici).  He broke ribs in the winter from a fall on the ice – spent several weeks in a painful recovery.  Three weeks ago, he was doing some construction work and a piece of wood fell on his head knocking him out – and leaving him with a severe headache.  Last week, he re-injured the same leg that was broken a year ago.  This young missionary ‘to his own country’ has no car – and the church van has completely gone to disrepair. If you could possibly help with these needs, THANK you!!

I am praising God that LFA was able to get a laptop for Ovi.  His finally gave out after 19 years!    Please pray for two vans for Canaan (our church).  There are so many people from two other villages who want to be picked up for church now.  The vans are also used to pick up kids for Children’s Church on Saturday, and for the teens Sunday evenings.  The vans are used, too, to transport wood to different people in the church, also foods, and the veggies to Barza Mica for LFA.

I was blessed to share/update the ministry with the Senior High Youth Group at my church (Faith Alliance in Attleboro, MA) Sunday evening, April 28.  When I was five years-old, the Lord used a missionary, John Beveridge, to Costa Rica to implant missions in me.  Every time I speak to the youth, I pray that the Holy Spirit will work through me to implant missions in at least one who sits in front of me.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19,20
