Our God is faithful.  But then, you know that!  He has seen me through at every turn with many challenges this past month. With the indispensable help of Ovi, I am working on my Romanian Citizen’s Visa.  I think if I had known there was so much work to accomplish in getting it done –…

Can you believe it?  I am writing this Update from ‘the other land that I love’ – Romania!!  It is like a miracle that I am here one more time after the past year and a half have been such uncertain times! I am settled in my little flat in Brasov.  I can’t share the…

Best news yet!  I have plane reservations from Logan to Bucharest on July 7 – arriving in Romania July 8!!  I am absolutely beside myself.  We all have seen how fast the world can change after this past year, so in all caps, I say ‘LORD WILLING’, I will be returning to ‘the other land…

Just got the most wonderful news.  An American friend in Romania whom I have known for twenty years told me that an American couple flew into RO successfully this past week to work with his ministry.  I am overjoyed!!  I’ve been waiting for June 1 when the EU will make an announcement concerning when the…

My heart is still overflowing with JOY concerning the Matching Fund for ‘Project Upstairs’ in February and March.  Work is progressing on the upstairs – and with God’s help, it will be completed so that there will be no more threat from the Romanian government of closing the doors to Canaan, our church.  Praise God…

(and  February that wasn’t ready to be reported on, yet).  Both good and an incident, not so good.  But I choose to focus on the good in this report.  A godly couple approached me concerning a matching-fund of $5000.00 for ‘Project Upstairs’.  This project concerns finishing the upstairs…

Amazing news in February!  A couple who wished to remain anonymous offered a matching donation of $5000.00 if others collectively gave that much during the month of February.  I am happy to announce that not only did faithful supporters – and some new ones – meet the match, but it was exceeded!  That means there…

There has not been a lot of change with Love From Above in Romania since last month.  One wonderful bit of news is ‘Project Upstairs’!  It concerns the upstairs to our church, Canaan in Halchiu, needing to be finished or the government will shut the church down.  That’s the law.  Having put out an email…

We made it!  We did it!  We pulled through!  The pandemic of 2020 is not over, nor the wake that it has created, but we found out that we were stronger and more resilient than perhaps we thought we were.  Not only were my first thoughts when I had to leave Romania on an emergency…

We are so blessed to be called to be used as Jesus’ eyes and heart, hands and feet – in good times and bad times.  COVID-19 continues to wrack and ruin the folks in Romania.  Cities are being shut down – folks go into hospitals desperately needing medical attention, but often don’t make it out…
